Senior Art Director

Location: Remote

About the Position

We’re looking for a Senior Art Director to lead the creative vision for high-profile entertainment brands. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll serve as their right-hand, driving strategic and creative excellence across high-volume, fast-turnaround projects.

This is a hands-on role, balancing big-picture strategy with in-the-weeds execution. You’ll lead and mentor a team of one Art Director, two Designers, and two Writers, ensuring brand consistency across multiple mediums. You’ll also collaborate directly with clients, presenting work that elevates brand presence.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and push creative direction for entertainment and experiential brands

  • Manage & mentor a small but mighty creative team

  • Develop and maintain brand identity across campaigns and channels

  • Work hands-on in concepting, designing, and refining visuals

  • Communicate directly with clients, presenting ideas with clarity and confidence

  • Navigate a fast-paced, high-volume workflow with tight turnarounds

Who You Are

  • Exceptional designer first. Strong hands-on design skills are a must.

  • Strategic thinker. You see the bigger picture and understand campaign lifecycles.

  • Experienced leader. You’ve managed or directed other designers and art directors.

  • Agency-proven. You’ve worked in an agency setting, even if not currently in one.

  • Entertainment-savvy. Experience in the entertainment or experiential space is a huge plus.

  • Portfolio matters. Your work should showcase full campaigns, not just standalone pieces.

  • Flexible on location, but travel-ready. Monthly travel (typically 1-2 days) for shoots and productions is required. Proximity to a major airport is ideal.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in art direction and design, preferably within an agency environment

  • Strong hands-on design skills – this is not just a leadership role; you will be actively designing

  • Experience leading creative teams, including designers, art directors, and writers

  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking, with a deep understanding of the full campaign lifecycle

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Strong understanding of multi-channel campaign execution

  • Availability to travel at least once a month for shoots and productions
