About the Role:
The Vice President, E-Commerce & Marketing will be a key executive who is instrumental in shaping the company’s e-commerce and marketing strategy across all touchpoints. They are responsible for leading a comprehensive e-commerce strategy, driving online revenue growth, optimizing the customer experience, and leading all aspects of platform and integrated marketing.
This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of e-commerce strategy, customer acquisition, and online revenue growth—with a particular focus on performance marketing and omnichannel integration.
As the company continues to scale its online presence, a strong ability to lead and manage teams is critical, as the organization is looking for someone who can set the direction, align priorities, and execute with speed.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce Strategy & Revenue Growth
● Own and execute the e-commerce revenue strategy to drive growth while maintaining profitability.
● Develop and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies through paid digital marketing, SEO, email, and social media.
● Optimize site merchandising, promotions, and product launches to enhance customer engagement and conversion.
● Define and oversee key e-commerce performance metrics, including conversion rates, customer lifetime value (CLV), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
● Lead the execution of quarterly and seasonal sales campaigns with an omnichannel approach.
Marketing Strategy & Customer Acquisition
● Oversee the company’s marketing strategy and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation across paid search, social media, and performance marketing.
● Lead email and lifecycle marketing via Klaviyo (or other email service providers), ensuring segmentation, automation, and A/B testing strategies are in place.
● Leverage data analytics to refine digital campaigns and improve ROI across all customer acquisition channels.
● Develop and execute influencer and affiliate marketing strategies to expand reach.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Development
● Lead and mentor a team of marketers, e-commerce managers, fostering collaboration and performance excellence. *add in influencers and social media team*
● Align e-commerce and marketing initiatives with retail, B2B, and supply chain teams to drive omni-channel growth.
● Manage external vendor relationships, including agencies, media partners, and technology providers to maximize impact.
Platform Optimization
● Be the internal Shopify Plus champion (platform leader), ensuring the platform is optimized for performance, scalability, and seamless integration with retail operations.
● Oversee site usability (UX/UI), conversion optimization, and technical enhancements to improve the customer journey.
● Work closely with IT and third-party vendors to implement new digital capabilities and troubleshoot platform challenges with the broader team.
Customer Experience & Retention
● Ensure a seamless and engaging customer experience across all digital touchpoints.
● Implement loyalty and retention programs that drive repeat purchases and long-term brand engagement.
● Partner with customer service teams to enhance online support, reduce friction points, and improve overall satisfaction.
