Sr. Manager Digital Performance Reporting

About the Position:

An experienced and analytical leader is needed to fill the role of Sr. Manager, GA4 & Analytics. This position goes beyond data collection—it's about transforming numbers into compelling narratives that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will lead the charge in uncovering insights, crafting data-driven stories, and confidently presenting them to clients to enhance their experience and maximize the value of services.

As a remote-first company, the role involves frequent virtual meetings but offers flexibility to work from almost any location with a reliable internet connection.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead and mentor a team of GA4 Analysts, fostering a culture of storytelling through data.

  • Define and execute an analytics strategy that emphasizes actionable insights and client-focused narratives.

  • Drive a data-first mindset across marketing, product, and development teams by translating complex data into compelling, easy-to-understand insights.

  • Stay ahead of GA4 advancements and industry trends, ensuring analytics capabilities continuously evolve to serve clients better.

GA4 Implementation & Governance:

  • Oversee the setup and configuration of GA4 properties, events, conversions, and custom dimensions to ensure comprehensive data collection.

  • Ensure accurate and efficient tracking through tools like Google Tag Manager, UTM parameters, and JavaScript.

  • Conduct regular audits and troubleshoot analytics implementation to maintain data integrity and compliance.

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure consistency and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA).

Data Storytelling & Client Engagement:

  • Translate raw data into compelling stories that resonate with clients, helping them understand trends, performance insights, and opportunities.

  • Confidently present findings to clients, making complex data digestible and actionable for their business goals.

  • Provide strategic recommendations that enhance client experiences, optimize digital campaigns, and improve conversion rates.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure data-driven insights shape decision-making across departments.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Partner with marketing, product, UX, and engineering teams to optimize data collection and improve user journey analytics.

  • Guide teams on attribution modeling and customer insights to enhance marketing strategies.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring they understand and leverage the full potential of analytics services.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, with a strong focus on Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within an analytics team.

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI; experience with GROW is a plus.

  • Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, creative, digital, or media agency industries is preferred.

Skills:

  • Expert understanding of GA4, including event tracking, custom dimensions, and data collection mechanisms.

  • Proficiency in UTM parameters, Google Tag Manager, JavaScript, and HTML.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform raw data into compelling stories that drive business impact.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients.

  • Strong problem-solving ability with a keen eye for identifying data discrepancies and inconsistencies.

  • Experience with Google Cloud Console is a plus.
