Senior Graphic Designer (Art Director)
Our client is a high growth and innovative SaaS medical software startup that is developing and selling novel AI cloud-based software platforms for radiologists worldwide. They are a global business and are proudly headquartered in Toronto – growing quickly!
Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and matrixed to the broader marketing and e-learning team, the Senior Graphic Designer (Art Director) will be responsible for creating visually engaging, innovative and functional digital experiences and marketing collaterals and will be the “owner” of the company’s visual brand identity. As Senior Graphic Designer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by optimizing user experience and engagement through creation and design of content for our website, social media, digital advertising and email assets (banners, landing pages, email templates, etc.), sales and promotional materials, event materials including trade show booth design, and presentations and e-learning materials. It would be a significant bonus if the candidate was proficient in MotionX (or other animation tools) and able to create animated software screen flows and animations. One of the key aspects of your role is a thorough understanding of the right balance between business, design and our customers and serving our brand’s purpose, business missions and customer needs.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Figma to design and develop digital and print marketing materials and bring positioning and messaging to life in an engaging and professional manner.
Develop designs for sales collaterals, such as PowerPoint presentations, brochures, case studies, white papers, schematics, etc.
Create graphics such as infographics, illustrations, icons, logos, etc.
Design and prepare visual content for Online e-Learning Modules
Plan and design marketing material for conferences, trade shows, and events, including designs for all our booth properties and elements, banner stands, in-booth videos, program brochures, and other event-specific marketing collateral.
Develop e-mail marketing templates and landing pages.
Develop and update company website content (Platform will be in WordPress)
Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets
Work with an International Commercial Team (Sales, Applications, Marketing, Clinical) to gain a solid understanding of our target audience.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes engineers and product managers in order to create simple, easy-to-use User Interface designs for the company’s software products.
Spearhead and own the responsibility for revisions of approvals for artwork and information accuracy.
Coordination of release and processing of files at printer and prepress, as well as for digital launch (e.g. web, e-learning, digital video, etc.)
Ensure precision of file establishment and parameters for every outgoing artwork.
Manage archive and organization of all image assets.
Develop graphic elements for social media content.
Develop all digital marketing assets including banners, digital media ad units, landing pages, etc.
(Highly Beneficial) Create and edit video elements (video bumpers, booth videos, customer interview, video profiles, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in the design/creative field
5+ years of design experience including website design. UI/UX would be an added plus for the candidate.
The ability to refine other people’s ideas and come up with new ones to create visually meaningful and impactful designs.
Well-organized, detail-oriented, responsible and dedicated, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver designs in a short time.
Self-learning, able to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast-evolving environment.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Microsoft Office Suite and Figma.
Proficient in MotionX (or other animation tools) and able to create animated software screen flows and animations.
Comfortable with WordPress and website content editors
Familiar with posting on social media channels including Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
Familiar with video editing and associated editing suites is an asset.
Knowledge of CSS/HTML is also an asset.
