GA 4 Analyst

About the Position:
Our US-based agency client in the marketing and technology space is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join their growing team. The GA4 Analyst will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and optimizing Google Analytics 4 setups to provide actionable insights for hospitality clients. This role involves analyzing user behavior, tracking performance metrics, and delivering data-driven recommendations to improve digital marketing, product performance, and overall user experience.

As a remote-first company, you'll engage in frequent virtual meetings, but you have the flexibility to work from almost any location with a reliable internet connection.

Key Responsibilities

GA4 Implementation & Configuration

  • Set up and configure GA4 properties, events, conversions, and custom dimensions to align with business objectives.

  • Ensure accurate tracking and tagging using tools like Google Tag Manager.

  • Perform regular audits and troubleshooting of analytics implementations to maintain data accuracy.

  • Deep understanding of GA4 interface, tracking methods, data collection mechanisms, and reporting features.

  • Comfortable using UTM parameters, Google Tag Manager, JavaScript, & HTML.

  • Create custom metrics, dimensions, and audiences within GA4 to capture specific data points relevant to business needs.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of event tracking implementation, including proper parameterization and usage of event categories, actions, and labels.

  • Identify and address data discrepancies or anomalies within GA4 reports.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to GA4 tracking and data collection.

  • Experience with Google Cloud Console is a plus.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze website and app user behavior using GA4 data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.

  • Build and maintain custom dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and KPIs.

  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve digital campaigns, conversion rates, and user experiences.

  • Perform skillful analysis of GA4 data to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Create clear and compelling data visualizations using GA4 reports and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Collaborate with marketing, development, and UX teams to align data collection with business goals.

  • Offer insights into user journey optimization and attribution modeling.

  • Stay updated on GA4 features and industry best practices to continuously enhance analytics strategy.

Data Governance & Privacy Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA in analytics practices.

  • Establish processes for clean data management and governance.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI; experience with GROW is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with UTM parameters, Google Tag Manager, JavaScript, & HTML.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
