Job Description
As an ecommerce focussed startup, our visual and brand identity is vital to our continued success. We are looking for an experienced Creative Director to help define the future of our brand and build our online visual content.
Great design has always been core to the success of our company. Your primary role will be to create great design and raise our creative bar while providing the vision, guidance, and support to ensure everyone on the team can reach it. In this leadership role, you will lead a creative team whose purpose is to craft best-in-class web pages, email campaigns, product packaging, product photography, product listing layouts, product feature videos, and foundational design elements among other things.
You Will:
Lead a team of creatives as player/coach by providing creative direction and mentorship to your team while taking the lead on high-priority projects.
Oversee creative work across all customer touchpoints including:
Product packaging (cartons, inserts, stickers, etc.)
Product and lifestyle photography
Product videos
Website design
Online product listings
In store displays
Decks and assets for retailer presentations
Digital advertising design
Email communication design
Assist in the development of an overall brand identity and design language (look, feel and tone)
Assist cross functional teams in development of the following:
Website strategy - look and feel and website messaging
Email strategy
Social Media strategy
Learn how our products work and how customers use them by diving deep into our product lineup
Report to the President who supports you and your team
You Have:10+ years experience in a creative role including 3 or more years leading a creative team – preferably within tech and/or consumer products.
Experience in in-house digital creative teams; ideally you have a mix of agency and in-house experience
A portfolio of work that demonstrates a strong sensibility for both copy and design
A business-first mindset about creative work and expertise aligning creativity to strategy
An action-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset - we are fast moving, nimble and entrepreneurial and looking for someone who shares this mindset.
