Global Head of eCommerce

Our client, a trailblazer in the fashion industry, is seeking a dynamic and visionary digital leader to join our team as the Head of eCommerce. With a legacy rooted in family history, our client has become synonymous with quality and style in the fashion world.

With their commitment to innovation, coupled with a passion for excellence, they are leaders in the fashion world. As they embark on an exciting phase of growth, we are looking for a seasoned digital marketing professional to lead their e-commerce strategy and drive significant revenue growth.

*This role is based in Western Canada.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven track record of driving significant multi-million-dollar revenue growth through e-commerce channels.

  • Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and customer experience optimization.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term goals with long-term vision.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    e-commerce Strategy

    o Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

    o Identify and capitalize on emerging e-commerce trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

    Revenue Growth

    o Drive revenue growth through innovative online sales strategies, digital marketing initiatives, and strategic partnerships.

    o Set ambitious revenue targets and develop actionable plans to achieve and exceed them.

    Customer Experience

    o Oversee the enhancement of the online shopping experience, focusing on usability, personalization, and customer engagement.

    o Utilize customer data and analytics to optimize the user journey and increase customer retention.

    Digital Marketing and Branding

    o Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing, to drive traffic and conversions.

    o Work closely with the marketing team to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all digital channels.

    Technology and Platform Management

    o Evaluate and select appropriate e-commerce platforms and technologies to support business goals.

    o Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement new features, functionalities, and integrations.

    Data Analytics and Insights

    o Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights into customer behavior, sales trends, and website performance.

    o Leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize the e-commerce ecosystem.

    Team Leadership

    o Build and lead a high-performing e-commerce team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

    o Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.

    Partnerships and Vendor Management

    o Forge strategic partnerships with external vendors, agencies, and technology providers to enhance the e-commerce infrastructure.

    o Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.

    WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, make decisions and problem solve.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in consumer products or fashion is a plus.

  • Ability to work well across multiple departments.

  • Strong technical knowledge of e-commerce platforms and systems.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Good communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge and experience in online marketing techniques.

  • Highly organized and able to set priorities effectively and use the resources available.
