Our client, an award-winning global digital marketing agency with a strong presence across 6 countries, is seeking an exceptional SEO Account Director to join their dynamic team. As the SEO Account Director, you will be a key driver in creating, leading, and delivering highly successful SEO campaign strategies that consistently achieve outstanding results and drive client performance.

In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of senior client relationships, while also providing guidance and support in the development and management of the account managers within your team. Additionally, you will actively contribute to new business development efforts, helping to shape pitch strategies, project scoping, and forecasting.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

  • The ability to think strategically and develop results-driven SEO strategies is a must. This includes formulating effective SEO plans, setting goals, and providing strategic direction to improve client performance.

  • Experience in building and maintaining senior client relationships is important. The SEO Account Director must be able to effectively communicate with clients, understand their objectives, and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills are required.

  • Involvement in new business development activities, including pitch strategy development, project scoping, and forecasting, is expected. The SEO Account Director should contribute to the growth of the agency by identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to derive insights from data are essential. Proficiency in SEO analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO software, is required.

  • Being an independent self-starter, confident, and entrepreneurial is valuable in this role. The ability to articulate the value of SEO to clients and seize opportunities for growth and improvement is important.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulation and execution of results driven SEO strategies across key accounts

  • Hands on in key client deliverables

  • Provide strategic direction to the team to improve client performance

  • Business development involvement from pitch strategy development to project scoping & forecasting

  • Be the senior client contact for your teams clients

  • Be active in helping us to constantly push innovation and development in everything we do

  • Take responsibility for SEO Account Managers, SEO Account Executives and Copywriters development and

  • progression within your team

  • Review the quality of team deliverables and help them to improve quality and delivery

  • Play an active role in recruitment across the team

  • Develop internal processes to improve efficiencies within the team

  • Ensure planning and finance processes are adhered to ensure accounts remain effective and profitable.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 6+ years SEO experience, preferably agency side

  • Proven extensive hands-on SEO experience

  • Proven experience in delivering results driven SEO campaigns for your clients

  • Outstanding team development skills and experience in motivating teams

  • Proven ability to build senior client relationships

  • Passionate about SEO and staying at the forefront of innovation and technology

  • Proactive and lateral thinker

  • Methodical in planning and forecasting

  • Fanatical about detail and analytical in approach

  • Experienced in Google Analytics, Search Console, GMB and other SEO software such as ahrefs, deepcrawl and Moz, Google Data Studio/Looker Studio
